The Properties.

Property Geological Summaries

Puranium Energy has acquired a portfolio of seven exploration properties totalling an area of 93,514 ha that are highly prospective for uranium mineralization. Historical maps and reports from exploration activities undertaken over the assets will be evaluated to determine targets for further exploration. The seven Exclusive Prospecting Licences (EPLs) are: EPL-7337, EPL-7381, EPL-7394, EPL-7646, EPL-7907, EPL-7996 and EPL-8084

Main Property EPL-7337

Location
EPL7337 is located 56km south-west of the town of Usakos and covers an area of 4,690 ha. The Norasa project (Valencia and Namibplass deposits) forms an enclave inside the licence area. Puranium Energy has applied to extend the north boarder and the eastern border.

Potential

  • 21km northeast along strike of the Rössing Mine.
  • The enclaved Norasa project has measured and indicated resource of 39,700 tonnes U in 0.0167% uranium (October 2013, NI 43-101 compliant).
  • Outcrops of uranium anomalous leucogranites have been delineated by regional mapping.
  • Previous geophysical surveys have identified prospective anomalous targets for further exploration.
  • Local geology is at the same stratigraphic level as other large uranium reserves in the region such as Rössing Mine, Husab Mine and Norasa.

EPL-7907 and EPL-7996

Location
EPL-7907 and EPL-7996 are located approximately 143 km east of the coastal town of Swakopmund and cover an area of 6,868.9 ha and 7,185.6 ha respectively.

Potential
In proximity of both primary and secondary uranium occurrences

  • 12 km southeast of Husab Mine – third largest uranium-only deposit in the world
  • 24km northwest of Langer Heinrich mine with an NI 43-101 compliant measured and indicated resource of 34,785 tonnes U in 0.042% U.
  • Previous geophysical surveys have identified prospective anomalous targets for further exploration
  • Local geology is at the same stratigraphic level as other large uranium reserves in the region such as Rossing Mine, Husab Mine and Norasa.

EPL-7394 and EPL-7381

Location

EPL-7394 and EPL-7381 are located 40km northeast of the coastal town of Henties Bay. Collectively, the EPLs have an area of 34,785 ha.

Potential

  • Licences are in proximity to calcrete-hosted uranium deposits, including Orano’s Trekkopje project with an inferred resource of 26,000 tonnes U in 0.01% U (2011) and the Marenica Uranium project with a JORC compliant indicated resource of 22,040 tonnes U in 0.01% U (2004).
  • Historical geophysical work has outlined the course of an old river channel, the Marenica channel, which is incised into the bedrock.
  • The licences cover the downstream catchment of the Marenica channel that hosts the Marenica and MA7 deposits.

EPL-8084 and EPL-7646

Location

EPLs 8084 and 7646 are located 110.96 km NNE of the town of Usakos and cover an area of 20020 and 19994 hectares respectively. The EPLs cover the Ruimte and Namib Park I uranium anomalies which were discovered in the 1970s.

Potential

  • Contain two highly prospective paleochannels identified by historical exploration
  • Located near significant paleochannel/calcrete hosted deposits namely Langer Heinrich and Tumas (2004 JORC compliant indicated resource of 30,400 tonnes U in 0.028% U).
  • Airborne geophysics has highlighted potential uranium anomalies for further exploration.
